Overhauled UI

The biggest change the new site introduces is a brand new UI. The goal here was to create something that has that “gamified” feel to it, but remain sleek and accurately represent who we are as a society.

Inspiration was drawn from the Massive Entertainment website, who are a Ubisoft studio based in Sweden. A lot of the design choices were based around their typography and layout, forming a solid basis for the design direction. Massive (pun intended) credit to them for acting as a great source to pull from.

Updated games page

If you used the original site, then you would remember the games page which connected you with the dedicated servers for each gaming community within the society. This page has been revamped to include a wider range of games and servers, so if you ever find yourself wanting to hop in and connect with others, then be sure to check it out.

Events Calender

Another big addition is the events calender, here you will find a list of all the awesome events we have planned each term, from tournaments, to socials, and even LAN parties. Each event entry shows the date, time, and location, giving you all the essential information to join the event.

This page will be regularly updated so be sure to keep checking it for the latest events. Please keep in mind that event details may change and the best place to hear about this first is the society Discord server, which you can find an invite link to either at the bottom of this page or in the navigation menu.

Society achievements page

It’s no secret Warwick Esports is the champion when it comes to university esports, so it was important we added a page to reflect our victories over the years. Here you will find our yearly awards, tournament placements, and achievements organised by season. This page highlights our victories dating back to 2018 and will be actively updated throughout the year, so check back regulary as we champion the year ahead!

If you’ve achieved something cool within the society and want to share it, then be sure to let us know and we’ll add it to the site!

Dedicated Sponsors Page

A small but impactful addition to the new site is a dedicated sponsors page. Here you will find the core sponsors of the society paired with a little bit about each of them. It was pretty awesome seeing this part come together knowing Fnatic, Razer, and Red Bull would be the main content of the page.

Brand New Blog System

One of the coolest features is the new blog system, it powers the article you’re reading right now! Throughout the year we will be posting content here, ranging from society achievements, game reviews, and pretty much anything we find cool.

Revamped Exec Page

The new site also adds a revamped exec page, so if you’re interested in seeing the team behind Warwick Esports, then this is the place. Attached to each exec is a little bit about of them, including their role, degree course, favourite games, and Discord username.
